Value Institute Learning Center (VILC) Greenbelt training introduces students to the Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology of process improvement, while simultaneously developing their skills as team members. Participants will get a better understanding of how these tools can be applied in their organizations to increase productivity and efficiency, decreasing the complexity of processes and eliminating waste. This training has been designed to fit the needs of healthcare workers through the use of hands-on activities and presentations that directly relate to real-world situations.

Students selected for the Spring 2024 Greenbelt 培训 will achieve certification through the Greenbelt Case Study. They will complete a project where they will apply multiple DMAIC processes and tools to understand and address performance challenges for sepsis care in a fictional hospital emergency department.
